Mrs. Phelps' regular Biology classes will need the book Double Helix, by Nancy Werlin. We will begin reading the book together on March 5.


PTO News

Valentine’s Day was a sweet success for the FHS faculty and staff. The PTO provided a wonderful assortment of desserts for everyone. Thank you to everyone who provided sweets.

Not My Child!

Parents have the toughest job in today’s current youth culture. . .from drug recognition & epidemic underage drinking to the current youth culture. Amity Chandler, noted state speaker, will talk to parents in a user-friendly approach that empowers them to better communicate with their teen and monitor their activities.

Freshman Orientation and Leadership Camp

How would you like to know where all your classes are next year? Meet the principal, faculty and some of your teachers as well as make new friends, earn community service hours all before your first day of high school? Well, guess what? You can. This orientation camp has been proven to put you on the road to success.
This is a fun, exciting 4 day camp located at Forest High School and hosted by select senior students from FHS. You will participate in activities that will challenge you and help build self-esteem and leadership skills. (All activities are voluntary with no pressure. Watching is a learning experience in itself.) Classes on CPR, character education, customs and courtesies, wellness & nutrition with guest speaker forums will be held.

  • Who: Incoming FHS Freshman
  • When: Session 1: June 16-19, 2008 or Session 2: June 23-26, 2008
    (Only 35 seats available per session)
  • Where: Forest High School (Room 165A)
  • Time: 8 AM - 3PM
  • Cost: $100.00 per session
    (Checks payable to JROTC Booster Club)
    Payment must be received by June 6th
  • Required items: Bag lunch, (Wear or bring) shorts, T-shirt, tennis shoes and a positive attitude. Students will receive a camp T-shirt, snacks, 5 hrs of community service, and certificate of completion.

You will receive an emergency data sheet and a confirmation of attendance.
