Step aside - Player cannot succeed himself. This is a three man scramble with four drives. See variations. |
Scramble Play with drive requirements. |
19-20 |
In addition to #16 or #17 above, the team MUST select one drive from each player on each nine hole side. |
Score cards must be marked by the scorer to show whose drive was selected on each hole. |
21 |
The team MUST select two drives from each player on each nine hole side. This is a good exercise in team leadership. |
" |
22 |
The team MUST select one drive from each player on the North Course, and two drives from each player on the South Course. (or vice/versa.) |
" |
23 |
4-3-2-1 Scramble - Committee selects four holes on each side for this drive requirement. Holes may be contiguous or not. Only three drives permitted on designated #3 hole, Only two drives permitted on #2 hole, and only one drive allowed on #1 hole. There will be no repeat drivers on these four hole sets on each nine. The net effect is similar to #19-21 above except that the driving holes have been selected by the league. |
" |
24 |
6-5-4-3 Scramble - The team must play 6 drives from the A player, 5 drives from the B player, 4 drives from the C player, and 3 drives from the D player, EXACTLY. Anything else is a DQ |
The String Scramble |
25 |
Each team is given a four foot length of string which is knotted at one end. The team can obtain free drops up to the length of the string. A ball OB can be moved in-bounds. A ball 6 inches from the cup can be dropped into the cup, etc. until all 48 inches have been used. Every time the string is used, a knot is tied in the string that distance away from the last knot, thus shortening the string. |
The Penalty Box Scramble |
26 |
Every time the team scores a birdie or better, the team will tee off from the back tees on the next hole. Every time the team scores a par, they will tee off from the regular white tee box on the next hole. Every time the team scores a bogey or worse, the team will tee off from the forward tee box on the following hole. |
