2006 record: 25-5 with a berth in the 5A regional semi-final Key losses: Laura Beth Lancaster, outside hitter Key Returnees: Sara Kuykendall, Whitney Batsel, Kelley Chambers, Bethany Hansen, Michela Munroe, Kelsey Cannon, Kaylin Yancey Key additions: Claire Kent, Amanda Sullivan, Kinley Tuten, Britney Hubner Outlook: Five returning seniors, who have been starters since they were freshmen, make this team imposing. A strong set of underclassmen make it even more so. Still, the Wildcats are in a very tough district, one they haven’t won since 2002. This could be their best chance to alter that and make a deep run into the post-season. The Wildcats have lost just one starter from a team that reached the 5A regional semi-finals while winning 25 matches and reaching the number 6 spot in the state rankings. They’ve already won the Santa-Fe Preseason Classic for the third straight season.
