MTI’s Automotive Technology Academy specializes in high-tech training for today’s computerized cars. This program prepares students for employment and/or specialized training in the highly technical automotive industry. Representatives from local automotive companies share their experiences and connect students to employment opportunities in our community. Students will train on state-of-the-art equipment and can earn industry certifications, Gold Seal Scholarship opportunities and college credits at CFCC. Money on your mind? Have you considered a career in business, finance or perhaps becoming your own boss? This academy offers limitless career opportunities with a foundation built on Microsoft software certification and general business practices. Students can elect to study in the world of business, finance, or entrepreneurship through the combination of academics, business-related internships and training at a variety of business locations. In addition, many of these local business affiliates will offer employment opportunities for qualified MTI graduates as well as tuition reimbursement for those who choose to continue their education. This academy offers national certifications, Gold Seal Scholarship opportunities, and up to 12 college credits at CFCC. Construction Technology – sponsored by American Heritage
If you can design or build it, the jobs are here! An array of jobs like masons, framers, electricians, drafters, concrete professionals, plumbers, HVAC technicians, building designers, surveyors, and geotechnical specialists are just waiting for MTI graduates. Students will receive hands-on training in the choice of three career paths: construction technology, computer aided drafting & design, or electrical apprenticeship while receiving instruction from a wide variety of local industry professionals and organizations. Marion County Builders Association partners closely with students in this program. This training enables students to seek immediate employment and apprenticeships in the local industry, as well as earn national certifications, and Gold Seal Scholarship opportunities. MTI is cooking up a great future for students interested in culinary arts and pastries. Would you like to prepare meals like the best chefs in town? Would you like to whip up scrumptious breads, pastries, and rolls? MTI students have the opportunity to learn these skills as well as mastering the art of dining room management. This academy features a fine dining facility, bakery, and coffee shop all on-site and operated by MTI students. This academy offers Gold Seal Scholarship opportunities, national certifications, and paid internship opportunities. Companies that produced, marketed and distributed high quality products built the American dream. A variety of career paths are available when you pursue industrial engineering technology. Whether you work in management, procurement, manufacturing, or distribution, you can see the finished product that exists because you played a role in its creation! Students receive a well-rounded education in the choice of three career paths: industrial engineering technology, computer aided drafting & design, or electrical apprenticeship. Hands-on experience with producing and marketing a product, teamwork, internships, national certifications, and Gold Seal Scholarship opportunities, as well as up to 18 college credits at CFCC can seal the deal for your college education or immediate access to a rewarding career!

This program will prepare you for employment in network, help desk, and pc support positions and includes basic hardware configuration, hardware and software troubleshooting, operating systems, software applications, and computer networking. Cisco Networking Academy partners with MTI to provide training and equipment needs. Students receive a well-rounded education in the choice of two career paths: networking or pc support including Gold Seal Scholarship opportunities, training-related internships, national certifications, and up to 24 hours of college credits. Electrical Pre-Apprenticeship – MTI’s newest program for those students interested in pursuing lucrative careers in the electrical industry. This program is sponsored by the Florida Association of Electrical Contractors, and partners with a variety of local electrical and utilities industry employers who provide pre-apprenticeship electrical training! Computer Assisted Drafting (CADD) – sponsored by American Heritage is available through Industrial Engineering Technology and Construction Technology programs and includes hands on drafting and design components using the most recent version of AutoCAD software. By partnering with Marion County Builder’s Association, students interface with our industry partners who provide expertise and internship opportunities to jump start a drafting and design career!
Dual Enrollment and Co-Enrollment programs are available through CFCC’s Career Academy and Community, Technical & Adult Education (CTAE). The MTI Career Academy is open to eligible seniors who are interested in pursuing a career goal while earning college credits. Students are 100% dual-enrolled at Central Florida Community College while completing high school courses of American Government, Economics, English IV and Law Studies at the college. An internship with a community-based business gives students experience in the career/technical field of their choice and earns high school credit. Examples of dual enrollment opportunities are: Criminal Justice & Fire Science, Health & Social Services Occupations, Agriculture & Equine Studies. MTI senior students interested in pursuing co-enrollment at Community Technical and Adult Education Center (CTAE) have the opportunity to take advantage of additional technical programs. Some program examples include: Cosmetology, Medical Laboratory Assistant, Patient Care Tech, Veterinary Assisting, and Welding. Business Partners invest in MTI students through career coaching, apprenticeships, and paid internships; providing excellent preparation for a solid career and high wage employment. Flexible scheduling allows students to attend between 7:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Students can attend extracurricular activities at their base high schools (depending on schedules) - including sports, clubs, and social events. MTI students receive diplomas from base high schools with recognition and certificates from MTI and its business partners.
If you will be 16 years or older by December and are interested in finding immediate employment upon graduation and/or continuing post-secondary education in a specific field of work, then MTI is your best choice. Becoming an MTI student will jump start your career!
