Drafting (component of EMIT program)

  • Drafting I (8600810)
    Grades 9-12

    This course provides students with an introduction to the knowledge, human relations, and technical skills of drafting technology.

  • Drafting II (8600820)
    Grades 10-12
    Prerequisite: Drafting I and teacher recommendation

    This course provides students with an intermediate understanding of the knowledge, human relations, and technical skills of drafting and design technology.

  • Drafting III (8600830)
    Grades 11-12
    Prerequisite: Drafting II and teacher recommendation

    This course provides students with an advanced understanding of the knowledge, human relations and technical skills of drafting and design technology.

  • Drafting IV/Advanced Applications in Technology (8601900)
    Grades 12
    Prerequisite: Drafting III and teacher recommendation

    The purpose of this course is to provide students with the opportunity, to develop a project from "vision" to "reality." Working in teams to design, engineer, manufacture, construct, test, redesign, test again, and then produce a finished "project." This would involve using all of the knowledge previously learned, not only in technology education, but across the curriculum.
