Drama News The Drama Club will be participating in the 3rd annual Trick or Treat so Kids Can Eat. This National Campaign helps raise canned foods to help fight hunger in our local communities. All donations will be given to Shepherd's Lighthouse in Belleview Florida. Starting October 22, there are two ways you can help. We will be selling bags of candy at lunch for $1. The profits will then be used to buy canned foods. Or, if you bring in 3 canned food items, we will give you a bag of candy. Last year, we raised over 180 pounds of food, which greatly surpassed our goal. Hopefully we will have great success again this year! The induction for the new members to the National Honor Society will take place on Monday, October 29th at 6:00 p.m. (Students who applied will be notified by October 15th regarding their acceptance.) All current members are expected to attend this event to welcome the new members. The 2nd annual EMIT fall flea market/craft sale will take place Saturday, November 3rd from 8:00 – 11:30 a.m. in the bus parking lot (east side) of FHS. Spaces are available for $10 – please make checks payable to FHS. EMIT is also accepting items for donations for their space. We hope to see you on the 3rd! 4-H will celebrate National 4-H Week October 7-13. You are invited to attend the 4-H Open House and Picnic at the 4-H farm on Saturday, Oct. 13th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Come out and see what 4-H is all about. There will be sports and hands-on science activities including rocketry, butter making, plants, animals, insects, crafts and more. Free admission, food and drinks at the Marion County 4-H Farm at the corner of Maricamp & Baseline. (Ages 5-18)
