FHS Wrestling 2007-2008

It is our belief here at Forest High School that with proper training and a little desire you could become a champion wrestler. Discipline and sacrifice are the key words to becoming a champion.

Wrestling is a sport based on 2 components--the individual, and the team. You could be a District, Region, State, or National Champion; but remember, you must give it 100% at every phase of training and competition.

Forest High School has a proud wrestling tradition that includes many individual and team District and Regional, and State Championships. Are you tough enough to be a part of this tradition? Do you have what it takes?

The first official wrestling practice will be on October 22nd at 3:30-5:00 PM at the wrestling room in the gymnasium. Boys interested in wrestling this year will need a current physical form on file with the Athletic Director's Office, a signed Parent Permission form, $30 participation fee, gym shorts, T-shirts, socks and tennis shoes. If you have any questions, please call Coach Hisey at 352-671-4700 or e-mail at Allan.Hisey@marion.k12.fl.us.

Girls Soccer

Girls Varsity Soccer tryouts will begin Oct. 8 at 4pm at the Rotary Fields.

Girls JV Soccer tryouts will begin Oct. 9 at 4pm at the Rotary Fields.

You must have a 2.0 GPA in order to try out! You must also have a current physical submitted to the Athletic Dept. before tryouts. A pink card will need to be turned in to the coach as well. You can pick both up in the Athletic Dept. (discipline office).

Girls are encouraged to try out for both teams. The season begins Oct. 29, 2007. Go Cats!
