EMIT News

The Engineering & Manufacturing Institute of Technology (EMIT) will host the 2nd annual Fall Flea Market on Saturday, November 3rd. If you are interested in selling your ‘treasures’, spaces will be available for $10.00. Rental tables will be available for $2.00 on a first come, first serve basis on the day of the event. Otherwise, plan on stopping by to see what items you can’t live without! For more information, please contact Terry Schultz Nourse at therese.nourse@marion.k12.fl.us. All proceeds will benefit the FHS EMIT program!

EMIT Reminder: Dress out days are Tuesdays and/or Wednesday – if you need a shirt please see our website for ordering information.

NHS News

Applications are now being accepted for the 2007-08 school year. Students interested in applying must have an unweighted GPA of a 3.5 and have a completed application to Mrs. Schultz-Nourse by Friday, September 28th. The applications are available on the NHS website. The induction is scheduled for Monday, September 29th at 6:00 p.m. in the Auditorium.

This is a reminder to returning NHS members that we meet the first Wednesday of the month at 2:50 p.m. in the FHS Media Center. The first meeting will be Wednesday, September 5th! Your dues are now due so be sure to bring $20 to the meeting! NHS is also looking for parent volunteers to ‘host’ a reception after the induction ceremony. If you are interested and have the time, we would appreciate your help. Please contact Mrs. Schultz Nourse at therese.nourse@marion.k12.fl.us.
