Library Media News Hours of Operation/policies The Forest High School Library Media Center is open each school day from 7:30 AM until 3:45 PM. Students do not need a pass to come before or after school hours, but do need one during the day from their teacher. Patrons are able to check out up to three books at a time for a two-week period. Overdue fines are 5¢ a day. Turning Teens on to Reading Sometimes getting teens to read is a challenge but not an impossible task. The FHS Library Media Staff is happy to help you with this challenge. You can help us “Build a Nation of Readers” by setting family reading goals, encouraging library usage, having a public library card and using it, being a role model as you read books, magazines, and newspapers, giving books and magazines subscriptions as gifts, joining a book discussion group, and by keeping books and magazines around the home. Here are some excellent Reading Resources for your Teen: Books can change lives. We invite you to help us create lifetime readers. Encourage your student to visit our beautiful library for a wealth of reading and reference materials.
