PTO News

The Forest PTO is very excited to announce the 2007-2008 board members. They are as follows:

  • President – Melia Sommer
  • Vice President – Jenny Weaver
  • Network committee – Diane Bigelow
  • Secretary – Hope Gilman & Sandra Bobbitt
  • Volunteer Coordinator – Julie Ennis
  • Treasurer – Penny Garrett & Lisa Boswell
  • Membership Committee – Lori Ciraco, Beth Cannon, Lee Ann Thurston, Carol Verrando,

We are looking forward to having a great year working with the Forest staff and parents. Our goal is to let everyone know that we have a strong PTO here at Forest High School. You can help by joining the Forest PTO. You should have received a green envelope from your child. Please have your child return it to their first period teacher as soon as possible so our board can plan for the year. Your membership fee will go toward many different events such as Teacher Appreciation Week, Baccalaureate, Media Center, New Student Orientation for the Freshmen, and many other school related activities. Let’s show our staff and students that Forest High School parents care!! When you become a PTO member you will be recognized in our newsletter and website by membership level.

Thank you to everyone who turned out for Open House. It was a great success and many parents joined the PTO. We also signed up over 50 volunteers!

Please call Melia Sommer at 867-7662 if you have any questions. Thank you for your support.

Simon Scholar Reword Program

The Simon Scholar School Reward Program is underway in the Paddock Mall. This incentive program provides area schools the opportunity to accrue “points” to win cash prizes. Shoppers can earn points for their favorite school each time they make purchases at the mall. Receipts dated July 21-November 27 can be taken to Simon Guest Services, located in the Center Court, where it will be stamped and each one-dollar spent equals one point for the participating school of your choice.

Shoppers will also receive double points with the purchase of each Simon Mall gift card. As of August 13 FHS was in 4th place! Please help us out by having all your receipts stamped.
