JCL Induction Dinner

The Junior Classical League (Latin Club) had its induction dinner on October 22 at the home of Danielle and Leah Cohen-Shohet. After the induction ceremony, members enjoyed an Italian dinner around the pool. This year marks the first year that the club has reached the “century” mark with 104 members. They will be honored for reaching that mark at national competition this summer at Miami University in Ohio.

The club is in the midst of a fundraising activity to raise funds for their regional and state competitions. Students are beginning to prepare for their regional competition on January 26 in Leesburg. Their next big event will be a Saturnalia celebration in December.

Drama News

The Drama Club will be producing "The Mousetrap" by Agatha Christie Friday, December 7 and Saturday, December 8 at 7:00 p.m. Strangers find themselves stranded at the Monkswell guest house during a winter snow storm. The guests soon learn that one of them is a murderer. Could it be one of the newlyweds (Caleb Wilson and Ariel Samson), an eccentric architect (Logan Carman), a retired Army major (Chris Bendall), the random stranger who appears out of nowhere (Christian Saucedo), a detached young woman (Katie Ogelsby and Katie Wagner), or a snooty elderly woman (Ellen Dennin) who makes life miserable for the whole house? Soon after the policeman arrives (Tom Dean), the elderly woman is murdered. Can the guests find out who the killer is before the third and final victim is attacked? Emily Adams, Megan Baldeschwieler, Erica Bourbeau, Stephanie Campbell, Jessica Grimes, Deion Howard, and Eden Muso round out the rest of the cast and crew.

Tickets for students are $3 in advance or $4 at the door and adults are $5 in advance or $6 at the door. Please contact Miss Keenan if you have any questions.
