Homecoming 2007

Homecoming Week takes place Nov.5-9. SGA has some great activities planned for students and parents.

  • Nov.6 Powder Puff Game,
    Freshman vs. Sophomore, 9:30am
    Juniors vs. Seniors, 10:30am
  • Nov. 8 Kats Kapers, 6:30pm, FHS Aud., $5
  • Nov. 9 Game, 7:30pm, FHS vs. Dunnellon
  • Nov. 9 Dance, 9:00-midnight, Café Patio
    • $10/ea presale only, Oct. 22-Nov. 2
    • Dress for the dance is:
      • Guys—Dress pants and collared shirt
      • Girls—Nice dress or pants
      • No jeans, t-shirts, or tennis shoes!

Athletic News

Following a very successful fall season for Forest Athletics, the winter programs promise to be even better. At this time Boy’s and Girl’s Basketball, Boy’s and Girl’s Soccer, and Wrestling teams should be in full swing. Girl’s Weightlifting starts Nov. 12. You can get contact information for head coaches by calling FHS at 671-4700. The Winter Head Coaches are as follows:

Coaches:
Boy’s Basketball: Steve Powell
Girl’s Basketball: Teresa McNair
Boy’s Soccer: Charlie McGuire
Girl’s Soccer: Bobby Herndon
Wrestling: Allan Hisey
Girl’s Weightlifting: Broni Baranowski

The starting dates for spring sports are as follows:
Baseball – January 14
Girl’s Flag football – April 28
Softball – January 7
Boy’s and Girl’s Tennis – January 28
Boy’s and Girl’s Track and Field – January 28
Boy's weightliftin - February 4

Students should listen to daily announcements for this information on sign-up meetings nad try-outs.
