Challenge Day

Challenge Day gained national recognition after it aired on the Oprah Winfrey show. The Challenge Day program is designed to help stop the violence and alienation that youth face every day by tearing down the walls of separation, creating an environment of compassion, acceptance and respect. Through the workshop, adults and selected teens gain the knowledge, leadership skills and personal growth experience needed to keep the Challenge Day spirit alive in their homes, schools and communities. By promoting self-acceptance and respect for others, the program helps to ignite participants' passions and inspire them to take their positions as positive leaders of change. Participating in Challenge Day is an opportunity for students to see the possibility of how things can be different in their school and their community. Youth and adults will leave Challenge Day inspired to make a change.

Please join us for a special presentation at the next SAC meeting on Nov 12th at 6:30pm in the media center. Learn about our goal of bringing Challenge Day to FHS, hear testimony from students who have experienced an actual event, and learn about all the ways to get involved with this exciting new program. Contact Aura Garcia for more information at 671-4700 ext. 58531.
