Staff Links FHS Shared Drive |
FBLA Future Business Leaders of America students at Forest High School recently sponsored a Fall Rally for State District 7 members. There were approximately 180 students in attendance. The Rally was planned and operated by FBLA officers from FHS and Citrus High School. The event was a terrific success in bringing together students who are interested in their future success. FBLA will also sponsor our District 7 competition in February, which will be held at CFCC. If you have an interest in helping students succeed please consider being a sponsor or a judge. No experience necessary. Contact Mrs. Paget at donna.paget@marion.k12.fl.us. JCL (Junior Classic League) News JCL will be busy during the next two months. The new certamen (Latin Academic) team has begun its practices. The new teams will travel to St. John’s Country Day School (Orange Park) on December 8 for a workshop. They will then compete at regional in January. On December 13, members will celebrate Saturnalia, the harvest celebration of Saturn. They will have a fun gift exchange and enjoy dinner together. On January 26, members will travel to Leesburg High School for their regional competition. They will compete academically, creatively, and athletically. Bona fortuna, JCL members!! Forest High School SADD! “Students Against Destructive Decisions” club has formed and is now recruiting new members. Students get a chance to make a difference. Volunteer hours and great community service hours are available. Contact Mrs. Rouse in bldg 11 room 15 or one of our FHS SADD club members.
