Giving for the Holidays The FHS Student Government is sponsoring several holiday activities for our community such as the Share Your Christmas Canned Drive. Homerooms will be collecting dry and canned goods from Nov. 26-Dec.12. All goods will be delivered to the Salvation Army. SGA will sponsor the Holiday Angel Adoption. Homerooms will have the opportunity to adopt an Angel for the holidays. SGA will also sponsor the Sharing the Gift of Reading Project (see below for more information).
Sharing the Gift of Reading 2007 As community members, parents, grandparents, and friends we are coming together to make the foster children in our county feel loved and thought of this Christmas. Donate a new book today to be given to a foster child this Christmas! A great opportunity to buy one, give one is at the FHS Book Fair on Dec. 5, 6, & 7 in the media center. FHS students & parents are welcome to attend! Cash donations will be used to purchase books, and can be given to the front office or at the FHS book fair. Prizes will be awarded to the homeroom with the most collected books. Wrapping paper and Book Fair Volunteers are also needed. Contact Michelle Clark or Jan Jo Merians @ 352-671-4700.
United Way Faculty/Student Volleyball Game For the second year in a row the students were victorious over the faculty in the annual Student/Faculty Volleyball. This year our student body raised $1296.00 for the United Way of Marion County. It’s great to be a Wildcat!
