PTO News

The PTO is very excited to have a special Christmas luncheon for the Forest High School staff members on December 5, 2007 at 12:30 PM in the cafeteria. We have close to 200 staff members so we can use all the help you can give. You can help by setting up, making wontons, cleaning up or sending in food. We will start setting up at 8:00 AM in the cafeteria. Thank you to those of you who signed up during our open house for this event. You probably have already received a call from one of our network committee members. We are asking freshman parents to bring in appetizers, sophomore parents to bring in salads, junior parents to bring in desserts, and senior parents to bring in side dishes. Please bring all items in a disposable container to the front office by 10:30 AM on December 5th. If you have any questions, please contact Lee Ann Thurston at 624-0792 or Melia Sommer at 867-7662. Let’s show our staff members what our Forest parents are all about! Thank you for your support.

  • Have an easier time processing new information
  • Have many interests and do well in a variety of subjects
  • Develop an ability to understand how other people think and feel
  • Weather personal problems better without their schoolwork being affected

Read to your teenagers as well as to your younger children.

  • Make a time and place for reading in your home.
  • Encourage talking about reading in your family.
  • Set a good example—read on your own.

Happy Holidays! Happy Reading!
