Mrs. Phelps' Regular Biology Classes Mrs. Phelps' regular Biology classes will need the book Double Helix, by Nancy Werlin. We will begin reading the book together on March 5. Valentine’s Day was a sweet success for the FHS faculty and staff. The PTO provided a wonderful assortment of desserts for everyone. Thank you to everyone who provided sweets. Please welcome our newest members of the FHS PTO, Kelvyn & Mary Oglesby. Parents have the toughest job in today’s current youth culture. . .from drug recognition & epidemic underage drinking to the current youth culture. Amity Chandler, noted state speaker, will talk to parents in a user-friendly approach that empowers them to better communicate with their teen and monitor their activities. This presentation is not recommended for children under age 13! Freshman Orientation and Leadership Camp How would you like to know where all your classes are next year? Meet the principal, faculty and some of your teachers as well as make new friends, earn community service hours all before your first day of high school? Well, guess what? You can. Emily Woodruff – “I am so glad I was a part of the orientation. It helped me on the 1st day of school to locate all my classes and I had tons of friends from camp. I had a great time.” Daniel London – “I had a really good time, especially during the team sports. I knew my schedule and classes before the first day.” Christina Ramirez – “This orientation is fun! I was confident and prepared the first week of school and would recommend it to any new freshman. I received community service hours for having fun and learning the school campus.”
